Police Seizes Truck Loaded with Cattle at Duburdihi Checkpost, Four Arrested Including Driver

**Asansol:** Police seized a truck loaded with cattle at the Duburdihi checkpost on the West Bengal-Jharkhand border. A total of four people, including the truck driver, have been arrested in the incident. They were detained for failing to present valid documents, police sources said.

According to local sources, on Monday, the Gau Raksha Committee of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad received information about a truck carrying cattle in the Duburdihi checkpost area. The organization then informed the police at the Chaurangi outpost.

Upon receiving the information, the police acted swiftly. They conducted a raid at the Duburdihi checkpost and detained the suspicious truck. Several cattle were recovered after inspecting the truck. The police arrested four people, including the driver, for not being able to show the necessary valid documents for transporting the livestock.

Chandrashekhar Shaw, a member of the Gau Raksha Committee of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, claimed that the cattle were loaded from the Maithon area. They learned from the driver that the livestock was being taken towards the Bangladesh border.

Chandrashekhar Shaw said, **“These cattle were loaded from Maithon. From the driver, we learned that they were heading towards the Bangladesh border. The police have detained them. We want legal action to be taken.”**

Following the incident, the police have begun an investigation into the detained livestock and the truck. They are looking into where the livestock was loaded from, where it was being taken, and whether anyone else is involved in this transportation. The four detained individuals are being interrogated to gather detailed information about the entire incident.

However, it has been reported by police sources that whether the necessary documents and legal regulations for livestock transportation were followed will only be clear after the investigation is completed.
