Two motorcyclists arrested in Gazole, huge amount of cash recovered from two bags
**Maldah:** Acting on a tip-off, the police of Gazole police station conducted a raid and arrested two suspicious motorcyclists in the Rangabita area. A large amount of cash was recovered from the two bags they were carrying. The incident has created a significant stir in the area.
According to police sources, the Gazole police were monitoring the Rangabita area based on secret information. During this time, two youths traveling on two motorcycles towards Maldah were arrested. Upon discovering a large amount of cash in the two bags they had, the police immediately informed their superiors.
Upon receiving the news, Gazole police station's IC Kaushik Banerjee and other police officials arrived at the scene. Subsequently, a cash counting machine was brought from the station to begin the process of counting the recovered cash.
Initially, it has been learned that one of the arrested youths is from Birgar village under Vaishnavnagar police station, while the other is from Sahabajpur village under Kaliacok police station. However, the police are investigating where they obtained such a large amount of cash and where they were taking it.
According to preliminary observations by the police, the recovered cash includes multiple bundles of 500, 200, and 100 rupee notes. As of the writing of this report, the exact amount of cash has not been determined. The counting of cash is ongoing at the Gazole police station.
As news of the incident spread, a large crowd of local residents gathered at the scene. The Gazole police are investigating the source, legality, and any possible connection to criminal networks regarding the recovered cash.
