On the occasion of Martyrs' Day, Abhishek Banerjee, the All India General Secretary of the Trinamool Congress and MP from Diamond Harbour, made some remarks from the stage near Taratala in Kolkata that have sparked new controversy in political circles.
While addressing the gathering, Abhishek Banerjee claimed that multiple false cases are being filed against the leaders and workers of the Trinamool Congress. In this context, he stated that those who are filing cases for political purposes will be answered in the future “with interest.” He remarked, “If false cases are filed, note it down in the diary, we will return it with interest. We will respond in the language that they understand.”
## Criticism of Ritabrata Banerjee's meeting
On the same day, Abhishek was also seen mocking another political rally held in another part of Kolkata. Without naming anyone, he said that those who claim to be Trinamool have very few people attending their meeting. He claimed, “The number of people on Mayo Road is more than that in any village area when JCB is digging the soil.”
He then said, “Where are the workers, where are the people? Where Mamata is, the people are there. The name of the roots of Trinamool is Mamata Banerjee.”
## Trinamool MP speaks out against BJP
From the meeting, Abhishek Banerjee also launched a fierce attack on the BJP. He alleged that investigative agencies are being used against Trinamool leaders and workers due to political vendetta.
He claimed that multiple cases have been filed against him through various agencies including the ED, CBI, and the Income Tax Department. However, he stated that he will not deviate from the party's ideals despite all this.
