**Bharatpur, Murshidabad:** As the political heat surrounding the assembly elections cools down, personal relationships and family disputes have sparked a stir in Murshidabad's Bharatpur. A housewife named Purnima Das has filed a written complaint against BJP's Bharatpur assembly candidate Anamika Ghosh and Congress's election agent Uddipan Das at the police station. She alleges that despite having a long-standing marital relationship, her husband was lured away, leading to the breakdown of their marriage. She has also raised allegations of mental and physical abuse.
Facing reporters on Saturday, Purnima Das claimed that she had a legally registered and socially recognized marriage with Uddipan Das. They have two sons together. She alleges that she has been subjected to abuse at the hands of her husband at various times since their marriage.
Purnima claims that in the recent assembly elections, Anamika Ghosh was the BJP candidate for the 69th Bharatpur assembly seat. On the other hand, Uddipan Das worked as the election agent for Congress candidate Mohammad Azharuddin Sizar.
The housewife alleges that since the elections, her husband's closeness with Anamika Ghosh has increased. This has led to unrest in her marriage with her husband. At one point, she claims she was physically assaulted. When the situation escalated, she claims she moved to her father's house.
Subsequently, on July 27, Purnima claims that Uddipan Das married Anamika Ghosh. She alleges that despite having a previous marital relationship and two children, her husband has remarried. She also claims that she is receiving threats over the phone.
Purnima further claims that as a woman from an ordinary family, she is under pressure from influential circles. However, she has stated that she will continue to fight legally against the allegations. She claims that two separate written complaints have already been filed at the police station under specific sections.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Anamika Ghosh has released a video message on social media stating her position. She claims that she is married and will legally address the allegations made against her.
Anamika further claims that there is a smear campaign against her on social media. She has stated that she will respond to the allegations legally.

On one hand, serious allegations of second marriage, abuse, and threats have been raised by the housewife.
