Tragic Death of Husband and Wife Under Collapsed Mud Wall, Mourning in Bharatpur

**Murshidabad:** A tragic death occurred when a mud house wall collapsed, burying a husband and wife. The incident took place on Friday in Bharatpur village, under Bharatpur police station in Murshidabad district. The deceased couple has been identified as Syed Manowar Ali (62) and his wife Jahanara Begum (61). The entire area is engulfed in mourning due to the death of two members of the same family.

According to local sources, the elderly couple had been living in a mud house for a long time. On Friday, before they could comprehend what was happening, the mud wall of the house suddenly collapsed. At that time, Syed Manowar Ali and his wife Jahanara Begum were inside the house. Both were trapped under the fallen wall.

At the time of the incident, several local residents were returning home after offering Jummah prayers. They were the first to witness the accident. They immediately rushed to the scene and began efforts to rescue the couple by clearing the debris. The Bharatpur police were informed.

Upon receiving the news, the police quickly arrived at the scene. The fire department was also notified. With the joint efforts of the police, firefighters, and local residents, the debris of the mud wall was cleared, and both were rescued. They were then taken to the local primary health center by ambulance. There, doctors examined them and declared both dead.
