According to administrative sources, this survey is being conducted across the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), going door to door. The sole objective is to ensure that no eligible family is deprived of the benefits of the housing project.
### Second Installment for 10 Lakh Beneficiaries
According to government sources, a survey conducted among nearly 18 lakh families listed in the previously announced housing project reveals that 10 lakh families have completed construction work up to the lintel. The process of releasing the second installment of money for these beneficiaries has begun.
On the other hand, several fake and ineligible names have been caught during the administrative verification among the remaining applicants. For this reason, a new list is being prepared with a stricter and more transparent method.
### Identifying Another 20 Lakh Families in Awas Plus
In the new survey, nearly 20 lakh potential beneficiaries have already been identified. Those who have not received benefits from any state or central housing project in the past are being prioritized for listing.
The administration claims that the final list will be prepared after directly verifying the socio-economic status, living conditions, and documents of each family.
### Survey Deadline Extended to August 15
In the interest of preparing a transparent and accurate list, the deadline for the Awas Plus survey has been extended to **August 15, 2026**. Representatives and government officials at the panchayat level are collecting and verifying information door to door.
After the survey is completed, a new list of beneficiaries will be prepared based on the final report. Subsequently, a decision will be made regarding the allocation of financial assistance for the next phase in coordination with the state and central government.
