**Kolkata:** Police want to question Abhishek Banerjee, the All India General Secretary of Trinamool and MP from Diamond Harbour, in connection with the incident of unrest surrounding the billboard opening on Camac Street. For this reason, police officials from Shakespeare Sarani police station arrived at his Kalighat residence with a notice on Sunday morning. According to police sources, he has been asked to appear at the police station on the coming Monday.
This incident has sparked renewed discussions in political circles. Previously, police had questioned Abhishek in connection with the same case. This time, investigators want to question him regarding that related case.
## Police Team at Abhishek's House Again
According to police sources, earlier on Wednesday evening, officials from Shakespeare Sarani police station had gone to Abhishek Banerjee's house to deliver the notice. However, police claim that the notice was not received that day. It was stated from the house that no one was present to receive the notice. The person to whom the notice was addressed was out of the city. As a result, the police had to return without delivering the notice that day.
Abhishek had gone to Delhi to participate in a protest program of the opposition alliance 'India', demanding the resignation of Election Commission chief Gyanesh Kumar. He returned to Kolkata on Saturday. After that, on Sunday morning, police arrived again at his Kalighat residence.
After waiting outside the house gate for a while, it is reported that the police notice was received. The notice reportedly instructed him to appear at Shakespeare Sarani police station on Monday.
## What Caused the Unrest on Camac Street?
The incident began on August 27. Tension arose over the opening of a billboard at Abhishek Banerjee's office on Camac Street. The billboard featured the name of Trinamool and the party's 'jora phool' symbol.
It was alleged that the billboard was illegally installed and posed a danger to the safety of the area. For this reason, officials from Kolkata Municipal Corporation and police took the initiative to remove it. However, a dispute ensued between Abhishek's supporters and police and municipal officials over the opening of the billboard.
The situation gradually became heated. There were also allegations of pushing and shoving and physical altercations. It is alleged that amid this situation, police forcibly climbed onto the roof of the relevant building on Camac Street and removed the billboard.
Subsequently, a banner with the same name and symbol was reportedly hung there. This incident has sparked political controversy.
## Three FIRs, Police Investigating
After the incident on Camac Street, a total of three FIRs were filed at Shakespeare Sarani police station. Police are investigating based on those complaints.
In one of the three FIRs, Abhishek Banerjee has already been questioned. It is reported that police want to question him again in connection with the investigation of that case.
Political circles are now watching closely what the next steps of the investigators will be, whether Abhishek Banerjee appears at the police station on Monday, and what comes out in the questioning.
The billboard incident on Camac Street has created new excitement in both legal processes and political debates. However, the investigation into the entire incident is still ongoing, and the future course of the case depends on the police's statements and subsequent actions.
