Severe Fire Breaks Out Again in Kolkata, Nearly 30 Cars Burnt to Ashes at Showroom on Jessore Road

**Kolkata:** A severe fire incident occurred again in Kolkata early Monday morning. A car showroom in the Bankra area adjacent to Jessore Road near Kolkata Airport suddenly caught fire. The flames quickly escalated to a terrifying size, engulfing the entire area in black smoke.

Upon receiving the news, the fire department arrived at the scene. Initially, five engines were deployed to extinguish the fire. Seeing the severity of the situation, three more engines were later sent to the site. After prolonged efforts from a total of eight fire engines, the fire was finally brought under control.

However, by that time, significant damage had already occurred. It has been reported that nearly **30 cars in the showroom were burnt to ashes**. The fire incident caused widespread panic in the area.

According to fire department sources, it is initially estimated that **the fire may have originated from a short circuit**. However, an investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause of the fire. It is also being examined how the fire spread so quickly and whether there were any shortcomings in the firefighting measures.

As of now, there have been no reports of casualties from this fire incident early Monday morning. After the fire is completely brought under control, an inspection of the site will be conducted to assess the extent of the damage.
